Carolyn (Ann) N Etmanskie

It is with sadness and joy that we announce the passing of Ann Etmanskie, only child of the late Gladys and Fred Johnston of Ottawa; wife of Ben Etmanskie of Barry's Bay, Ontario. 

Ann passed away peacefully, with her husband and daughter at her side at Valley Manor Nursing Home, Barry's Bay, Ontario. 

Ann will be deeply missed by her husband Ben, daughters Kathy, Brenda (Rob Lucas), and son Richard; predeceased by her daughter Carolyn (2013) and granddaughter Kaitlyn (2013). She will also be missed by her grandchildren Doug (Jessica), Ashley (Samuel), Miranda, Michael (Laura) and Benjamin, Joshua and Kyla; great-children Lucy, Gordon, Jesse, Isabella, Grace, Christian and Leah Sophia. 

Ann enjoyed her career as a registered nursing assistant and operating room technician at both the Riverside and Ottawa Civic hospitals. After moving to Bancroft, she worked for Dr. McEnery and then worked at St. Francis Memorial Hospital once she moved to Barry's Bay.

Ann's faith carried her through many difficult times. 

Romans chapter 8 verse 37-39:

In all these things we are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ who loved us...for I am convinced that...nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord (NIV paraphrased)

We rejoice knowing that she is free from her suffering and in the arms of Jesus. Praise his Holy name.  This is not "goodbye" but "until we meet again". 

Cremation has taken place. Ann's Celebration of Life will be held at Heubner Funeral Home, 43 Stafford Street Barry's Bay, Ontario on March 14, 2017 at 1:00pm. Luncheon to follow at Opeongo Seniors Centre.
