Sandra (Hicks) Bain

Sandra (Hicks) Bain passed away in her home in Purdy, on December 6, 2016 at the age of 67. Sandra was born on March 23rd, 1949. She was diagnosed with Glioblastoma brain tumors on October 7th. For the last two months she has peacefully and patiently awaited the day when she would be forever with the Savior she has served all of her life and to be with her Mom and family that have gone on before. On December 6th, she had breakfast and time of chatting and laughter with her two sisters, laid her head back on the pillow, and within 15 minutes was in the presence of the Lord.

She loved her two boys, Jon and Justin and we know she will live on in their hearts forever. She was so very thankful for the faithfulness of their Dad, Michael Bain, during her illness, to be there for all of them, during the journey over the last few months. Over the last 2 years, Sandra lived with her 88 year old Dad (Gerard) and was a welcome addition to his home. Her Mom went home to be with the Lord in July 2014.

She was a wonderful sister to her siblings, Garry (Cheryl), Wendy (Brent) and Patti (Leo). Sandra was like a “mother hen” to her nieces and nephews and they all loved her dearly!

Aunt to Cindy, Clint (Jill), Jason, Jeremy, Tracy (Richard), Jennifer and Brad. Great Aunt to Ethan, Alyssa, Logan, Hudson, Kale, Donavin, Rylan, Sydney & Luca.

Sandra will be lovingly remembered by cousins, aunts, uncles, neighbours, nurses she worked with and the families of many clients that she cared for over her years of nursing.
