Aloysius Lorbetskie

With great sadness, Aloysius Lorbetskie of Wilno, passed away at St. Francis Memorial Hospital Barry’s Bay, Ontario on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the age of 90 after a brief illness.

Beloved husband of Catherine (Beanish) married September 17, 1951.

He was the son of the late Frank and Pauline (Kuiack) Lorbetskie. Loving father of Rose Marie Brotton (Sylvester), Edward Lorbetskie (Donna), Barbara Ann Fabian, Francis Lorbetskie (Rose) and Beverly Lang (John).

Predeceased by a son Joseph Lorbetskie, brother Stephen Lorbetskie and late sister Evelyn Golka (Harry). Survived by his sister-in-law Mary (Beanish) Lorbetskie (late Stephen).

He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

After Aloysius retired from a career in the lumber industry, he enjoyed his retirement years doing woodworking crafts and genealogy research and eagerly shared his knowledge of Polish/Kashubian family histories.

He was also a long standing member of the Knights of Columbus.
