David Gerard Brotton

With great sadness, David Brotton of Barry’s Bay, suddenly passed away January 17, 2019. Beloved husband of Colleen (Herron), and loving father of Dean.  He was the son of the late Dominic and Elsie (Pecarskie).

Loving brother of Basil (Margaret), Alphonse (Beverly), Patricia (Anthony), Sylvester (Rose Marie), Norbert (Rose Rita), Loretta (Gerard), Gerard (Beverly), Dennis, Theresa (Terry), Michael (Mary Ann) Jacqueline (Gerard), predeceased by his sister Phyllis, and brother Donald.

Brother-in-law to Basil Herron (late Julie), Caroline (Paul), Donald, Robert, Paul (Kelly).

He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.

David was employed by Ambro Construction in Brampton for many years.  In 1989, he moved back to the Valley to be close to family and many friends.  He retired from the Renfrew County Board of Education, as a chief custodian at Madawaska Valley District High School after 25 years of service.

David enjoyed the outdoors, biking, fishing, hunting, but his most favourite hobby was singing and playing guitar.
