Scott Henry Jeffrey

November 5, 1977 - September 10, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Scott Jeffrey, age 40, on Monday, September 10, 2018 who passed away peacefully at his home in Barry's Bay, Ontario.

Scott is survived by his parents, John and Ursula (Borutski) Jeffrey and brothers Keith (Julie Bagshaw) and Cameron (Amelia Messenger) and nephew Douglas and niece Charlotte. 

In spite of his health challenges in life, Scott was always up for a challenge.  After completing high school, he received a certificate in Culinary Management in 1998 from  George Brown college.  He apprenticed under the direction of Warwick and Nancy Fortune in Barry's Bay for his course.  Then he moved to Alberta to work at the Banff Springs Hotel and later Chateau Lake Louise.  While he was in Alberta he went on to receive his certificate as Cook in 2001 and a journeyman certificate as Baker and Pastry Arts in 2004.  He worked at Blue Mountain resort in Collingwood for a while and then returned to Alberta again.  After his health started to fail he returned to Ontario.  In June 2018 he returned to Chateau Lake Louise to work as a kitchen coordinator until August 23 when he was hospitalized and then returned to his home in Barry's Bay to recuperate from surgery. 

Scott was also known for his homemade truffles.

Scott will be remembered for his kindness and positive attitude in spite of all the challenges he faced.  His love for family was always apparent in the way he lived his life.
