It is with great sadness and much love that the family of Edmund Kubesheskie announce his passing on December 1st, 2020 at the age of 79. Edmund (Ed) passed peacefully at Valley Manor Long Term Care after a brief battle with cancer.
Loving husband to wife Arlene (nee Luckasavitch) of 53 years, adorning father to daughters Tammy (Jay) Strickler and Rachel (Mike) and proud grandfather to Mattson and Daniel.
Beloved son of the late John and Monica (nee Dombroskie), Ed will be deeply missed by his siblings Phillip (Anna Mary), Anne (late Robert) Recoskie, Theresa (late Louie) Lorbeskie, Gilbert (Debbie) and predeceased sister Francis. Admired brother-in-law of Maxine (late Aloysius) Smaglinskie, Richard (Suzanne) Luckasavitch and the late Terrence Luckasavitch. Cherished and loved by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family pets and close friends.
Ed was brought up in the Barry’s Bay area and moved to Oakville in 1963, where he remained and worked for the Ford Motor Company for 40 years. In his spare time Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, being around nature, playing a variety of instruments and making his own “homemade brew”. Ed and Arlene spent a great deal of their spare time in Barry’s Bay where he could always be found on the deck ready to welcome any visitors with a cold drink under the trees. An avid lover of music, animals and family; Ed's heartwarming smile, infectious laugh and empathetic personality will be deeply missed by so many.
Visitation will be held at Heubner Funeral Home in Barry’s Bay on Friday December 4th from 2 - 4. Funeral will take place at St. Lawrence O’Toole Parish at 10:30 on Saturday December 5th.
The family would like to thank Valley Manor Long Term Care staff for all their support and kindness these last few months. Donations in Ed’s memory can be made to the Valley Manor through the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation.
