Glen John Michaelis
March 7,1933 - July 13, 2021
Passed away peacefully at Bonnechere Manor on Tuesday July 13, 2021 at the age of 88. Loving husband of Darlene (Luloff), dear father of Donna and John (Trisha), Proud Papa of Emma and Noah, brother of Emmerson (Ingrid). Predeceased by son Neil, parents John and Martha (Junop), sister Isabel, brothers Dawson and baby Elroy. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Dolores and his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Glen was a lover of the outdoors. You could find him in his garden that he took much pride in. He was a hunter and went fishing every chance he got. Ice fishing was his favourite. Glen and his fishing buddy Everett could be found often on the lake and breakfast cooked in the hut was the first order of the day. Glen was also a councillor for 28 years and served as a volunteer fire fighter for 22 years.
Donations in memory of Glen would be appreciated by the family to Bonnechere Manor Foundation- Butterfly Project (details to donate by phone below).
Thank you to Dr. Pinard, Trisha Michaelis and all the staff for their wonderful care given to Papa Glen while a resident at Bonnechere Manor.
