Johanna (née Peplinskie) Yandernoll, a life-long resident of Barry’s Bay, Ontario passed away on October 4, 2021 at the age of 89.
Johanna is survived by her six children, Bernardine Yandernoll, Jackie McRae (Jim), Anthony Yandernoll (Sharon), Kathleen Hayes (Douglas), Kenneth Yandernoll (Kara) and Ann Howell (Bryan). Johanna has eight grandchildren, Thomas, Mary, Jacob, Nathan, Sara, Katryna, Evan and Jackson. Her husband, Sylvester Yandernoll, passed away in 2014.
Johanna was one of eleven children born to Vincent and Emily Peplinskie. She was married to Sylvester in St. Hedwig’s Parish on June 24, 1958. She was born and raised on Paugh Lake Road and raised her children on the same road. She was a wonderful mother and raised her children in the Catholic faith. The year her youngest child went to school Johanna started working for The Valley Manor in housekeeping. The friendships she made there have lasted through the years.
Johanna was one of the most friendly and fun-loving people you would ever want to meet. If she stood in a line she quickly started a conversation with whomever was near her. She was quick to smile and loved to laugh. She was proud to be of Polish descent and she worked hard everyday. She taught her children the love of the Lord. She was someone that you could call to ask for prayers anytime, anyday. We will always remember her walks up and down the driveway saying her rosary.
A funeral service is scheduled on Thursday, October 7 at 10:30 am at St. Hedwig Parish. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 6 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at St. Francis Memorial Hospital (SFMH). If desired please make a donation to SFMH.
