John (Clark) McRae

It is with great sorrow that the McRae family announces the passing of John (Clark) McRae on May 7, 2023. Clark passed away peacefully surrounded by family and his beloved dog Polar after a battle with cancer.

Clark, for all who knew him, was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives around him. Clark was born on August 1, 1966 in Carleton Place, Ontario. Predeceased by his parents MaryAnn and Jay McRae who took ownership of Riverland Lodge & Camp in 1976. He will be deeply missed by family and the many friends who became part of his family.

Viewing will be held on May 12, 2023 at 11:00am at Heubner Funeral Home Barry's Bay and a service at 1:00pm. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion at 1:30 to 3:30pm. A burial will be held at a later date this summer.
