Jack passed away at the Madawaska Valley Hospice on September 28th, 2022. Left to mourn his passing, is his wife Gertrude Holstein (Dupuis) and his extended Dupuis family. He was born in Madawaska, ON to late Sadie Birkenhead (Holstein) and his father was late Robert Birkenhead. Jack was the oldest of six children. He is forever loved by, Theresa (late Jeff), late Helen (late Wayne), Harold (Sandra), Joe (Marion) and late baby Billy.
Jack will be sadly missed by his children, Todd (Beth), John (Curt), Jo-Anne (Brian). He is Papa to grandchildren Trevor (Georgie), Denon, Amanda (Danny), Nicole (Mike), Mason (Matt) and his three great-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Carter and Sofia. Left behind are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jack was a professional truck driver until the age of eighty. He was a friend and mentor to MANY along the way. He loved teaching the tricks of the trade and telling his "Jack stories " about all of his adventures. After retirement his love of the road continued. He would get in his pickup truck to just "go for a drive ".
There will be a celebration of life at the Madawaska Community Centre on October 29th, 2022 between 2:00PM - 6:00PM with a convoy of trucks to arrive at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Jack's honor to the Madawaska Valley Hospice.
