It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our Dad Joseph at the Pembroke Regional Hospital at the age of 82. Loving husband of Lorraine for 61 years. Dad of Janice, James (Laura) and Chris (Julie). Papa to Casandra (Reid), Austen, Kesley and Brayden. Predeceased by his parents Paul and Mary, his brother Stanley and wife Jacqueline and brothers in law Clarence Trebinskie and Alfie Prince. Survived by Sally Trebinskie and Bernadette Prince, Rose Bibby (Allan), Frances (Betty) and Joanne Yakabuskie (Ed). Sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Dad lived life to the fullest. He loved going for his daily drive, whether parked at the C-store, hoping to see some buddies and then going to James' to check on Zoe. He couldn't wait for summer to spend time at Joanne and Ed's cottage. Dad's hobbies dwindled over the years and he always said that these are supposed to be your golden years but there is only one thing Golden! Lately, he concentrated on Mom and came daily to visit her at MV Hospice. Dad was amazed at the accommodations, care and compassion that was given to Mom, himself and his family during her stay at hospice. This place is definitely a home away from home! Well Dad, now you and Mom can go and watch over Chris, give him yours and mom strength - Yes! Yes!
As per his wishes, no visitation will be held. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday August 5 at 10:30am at St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church in Barry's Bay.
Donations in loving memory of Joe Luckasavitch can be made to the St. Francis Valley Health Care Foundation (Madawaska Valley Hospice).
