Obituary
Mary Patricia McConville (Granny) passed away peacefully in her 102nd year on February 7, 2023. Loving mother of Rosemary, Patrick, Francis, Michael, Arthur, Josephine, and Kathleen. Mary Patricia (Pat) was predeceased by her loving husband Francis (Frank) and her siblings Una, Michael, Padraig, Paedar and Jimmy. Pat grew up in the village of Murrisk on the west coast of Ireland, where she learned to run the family farm shop and post office, and where she met Frank. They emigrated to England where they were married and then to Canada. Pat devoted her life to providing a loving home for her family, guided by her strong Faith, and tempered with wit and wisdom and a sense of adventure. Pat will be deeply missed by her 7 children, 20 grandchildren 19 great- grandchildren and many who adopted her as family both in her hometown of Brampton and in Combermere and the surrounding community. She is forever in our hearts and prayers.
The Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday February 11th at 10:30 am will be live streamed on St. Hedwig's website here. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday February 15 at 1pm at St. Mary's Guardian Angel Cemetery on Center street in Brampton. Friends and family are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Madawaska Valley Hospice or Madonna House would be appreciated.
