Norbert Rozek

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father Norbert Rozek on Thursday, July 28th, 2022 in his 82nd year. Loving husband of Doreen (Andrechek) for over 57 years. Father to Michele, Lisa (Howard), Nancy (Syed) and Jason. Grandfather to Noah and Kazim. Norbert was predeceased by his sister Marcella (James Schleen). Left to mourn is his sister Phyllis (late Edward Lorbetskie).

Norbert absolutely loved being on the Rozek family farm. His love of logging and trees kept him there for many hours while he was in town. He also enjoying fishing in Rozek Creek and hunting every winter. In the summer, Norbert enjoyed a round of golf and played on the BF Goodrich baseball team. Norbert would play cards with friends and practiced often on the violin. He spent many hours listening to fiddle music. Norbert was a social man and could sit and visit with anyone and everyone he met. He was well liked and had a truly wonderful sense of humor. Gardening kept him busy as well and he enjoyed cooking and making soups. Norbert was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan and regularly enjoyed watching Judge Judy and Family Feud.

There will be a private family visitation on Thursday, August 4th, 2022 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm at the Heubner Funeral Home in Barry's Bay.

A funeral service will be held at Holy Canadian Martyrs Parish on Friday, August 5th at 11:00am. His final resting place will be at Holy Canadian Martyrs Cemetery in Combermere, Ontario.

As expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
