Peter John Rumleskie
February 9, 1973 – December 12, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Peter on December 12, 2021 at the age of 48 with his family by his side. Peter was the beloved son of (late) Georgina and Edmund Rumleskie. Mourned by his siblings Elaine (Stephen), RoseMarie (Alex), Janie (Peter), Andrew (Lynn) and Edmund and seven nephews and niece.

At a young age Peter became a businessman, owning and operating the local Sherwood Service Centre. Peter was well-known in the community for his passion repairing vehicles.

Peter enjoyed the simple life. He spent many hours at the family farm and cottage, often taking the family dogs. He loved to hike and ride his ATV at the farm and relax by the cottage shore. He is fondly remembered by his nephews and niece for the time he spent with them sleigh riding, taking them for ATV, ski doo and sea doo rides.

The family wholeheartedly thanks each of the hospice volunteers and staff, hospital staff and Dr. Chen for their compassionate palliative care and emotional support for Peter to make his final weeks comfortable. The family was grateful for the hospice setting; and the comfort, support and spontaneous counseling provided by the volunteers and staff during our difficult journey.
