Rita (Andrechek) Cybulskie-Babinski

It is with profound sadness that we announce that our beloved Rita Cybulskie-Babinski passed away peacefully, at home, on June 9th, 2023. 

Rita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her life was not without hardship, but she always maintained her unwavering kindness and fun-loving nature. Always happy to put the needs of her family and friends above her own, she treated everyone in her life with a warmth and generosity that will be greatly missed. Rita’s love could always be found in a home cooked meal, a handmade quilt, a tender shoulder to cry on, a wise word of advice, a shared laugh, and the unconditional love and support she poured onto her family, her friends, and the community. 

Rita will be sorely missed by her daughter Diane (Ricky), her son Clifford, her granddaughter Sabrina, her husband of 25 years, Dominic, and by the many friends she loved so much. Rita is pre-deceased by her parents, Angus and Francis Andrechek, her sisters Irene and Agnes(Eddie), her brother Eddie, and her beloved daughter Marie. 

In lieu of flowers, we ask that anyone who wishes to donate make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in her memory.

She always leaned to watch for us
Anxious if we were late, 
In winter by the window,
In summer by the gate. 
And though we mocked her tenderly, 
Who had such foolish care,
The long way home would seem more safe, 
Because she waited there. 
Her thoughts were all so full of us,
She never could forget, 
And so I think that where she is,
She must be watching yet. 
Waiting ‘til we come home to her,
Anxious if we are late 
Watching from Heaven’s window
Leaning from Heaven’s gate.
