Roma Grace (Singh) Shulist

In loving memory of Roma Grace Shulist:

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Roma, who departed from this world on February 23rd, 2024. She was surrounded by the warmth of her beloved daughter Shari-Ann, son-in-law Daniel Scott, and faithful companion, Chihuahua Gizmo.

Roma's life was a testament to kindness, overflowing with love and a vibrant passion for music, travel, adventures, captivating scenery, and infectious laughter. Born in Trinidad on March 15th, 1944, she pursued her dreams, studying nursing (RPN) in England before embracing Canada as her home in the 70s.

A devoted mother, Roma's love knew no bounds. She had a unique gift of making everyone she encountered feel cherished, as if they were the most important person in the world. Her zest for life was unparalleled, finding joy in the simplest of pleasures, from the melodies of Elvis to exploring new horizons with an adventurous spirit that knew no bounds.

Roma leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity that touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her ex-husband (Shari's father) Stanley Shulist, children Shari-Ann Shulist (Dan Scott) and Denison, as well as her siblings, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, the Shulist family and the countless students she embraced as her own over the years.

Though she may no longer be with us in person, Roma's spirit of love and warmth will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. Her memory will forever be cherished, her love eternal, and her presence deeply missed, but never forgotten.
