Sheila Roberta Mason (nee Sutton) taken to be with the Lord, suddenly at home on November 1, 2021 after several difficult years of illness. Her children were with her at the time of her death, and give thanks to the Lord for His wisdom and kindness in this, as Sheila wanted to have her family with her when she passed. Sheila was born January 3, 1941 in Fort Erie, ON. Predeceased by parents, Robert and Ivy Sutton, her husband Dale Mason and infant son Timothy, and sister-in-law Ruth (Stan) Mckee. Sheila is survived by her daughters, Robin Mason and Laura Mckay (William), her brother-in-law, Donald Mason (Michelle), Step sister-in-law Florence Sanborn, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews listed below:
Sylvia Markwell (Clayton) nee Mckee, and their children Lee and Tamara
Larry Mckee (Rose) and their children, Lisa (Adam) Schaubel and their daughter Eloise, Anna Mckee and Mike (Tracie) Mckee and their children Madison, Wyatt, Kole and Chase

Travis (Egda) Mason and their daughter Evelyn
Breana St. Germain (Mike), nee Mason, and their daughter Sophia
Sheila trained as a hairdresser and worked until her marriage to Dale in September 1959, then stayed home to focus on raising her family. She and Dale enjoyed 49 happy years together until his death in October 2008. Sheila lovingly supported him through his long final illness. Sheila struggled through many years of illness and pain herself and yet always had a warm, friendly welcome for all who spent time with her. She loved her family and it showed. She was focused on supporting them and encouraging them to lead useful lives and develop loving hearts. Sheila had a generous heart and friendly personality, and loved to visit and help her family and friends, especially her long-time closest friend Dawn Stoneman and her family, and her nieces and nephews and their families. In her final years she was not physically able to be involved in people’s lives, but she was always ready to talk and provide help and encouragement to those who interacted with her regularly. She made many special friends with Hospice, PSW, Paramedic and Community Health Care staff and volunteers. She was very grateful for the support of her family and friends, especially her close friend Connie Colton who was always available to help and visit with her. Her daughters express their sincere thanks to all the family, staff, volunteers and friends who supported and helped their mom, through visits, phone calls, meals, helping with home projects etc (you know who you are). The Lord was so very faithful to provide and care for Sheila through her family and many special people in her life. Sheila will be missed. It is our loss, but not hers, as she believed in the hope of eternal life through Jesus, and she walked with Him.
