Therese Cecila (Villeneuve) Pastway

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Therese Cecila Pastway (Villeneuve) passed away at the Madawaska Valley Hospice in Barry’s Bay, ON on Monday, October 5, 2020. Born on November 4,1941 to parents, Alfred and Evelyn (Hildebrandt) Villeneuve, Therese’s spouses and life partners were Terry Pastway Sr. of Combermere and Francis Clouthier of Pembroke. Terry Sr. passed away August 16th,2019. Our Mother, Therese worked in the Dietary Department of the Pembroke General Hospital until her retirement, after which time she spent enjoying time with her family and many friends. She enjoyed talking to and helping people, whether it was family, a neighbour, friend or someone she’d just met. She was selfless and very generous, and will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her strength, compassion and ready smile, and of course for her love of dramatic films. Therese was the mother of five boys and eleven grandchildrenSons, Terry Jr. (Susanne), Johnny, Duane, Jamie (Dawna) and Chris. Grandchildren, Justin, Michael, Dante, Montgomery, Charlie, Faith, Konnor, Bryson, Ashtin, Cohen and Brandon. Cherished sister of Hedwig, Catherine, Angela, Claire, Marie, Alfred and Jacqueline. Predeceased by her parents, brother (John) and husband, Terry Pastway, Therese will also be missed by her former daughter-in-law Della (Kuiack), her friends and all other family members who stood by her with great support while coping with cancer. There will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass at St. Hedwig’s R.C. Church, Barry’s Bay,ON on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. Mass will be followed by internment in St. Hedwig’s Clergy and staff, and the many friends and relatives who have supported Therese and her family with visits, calls, support and love.
