Gerald Benedict Matcheskie

After a courageous battle with lung cancer Gerald Matcheskie passed peacefully in his 87th year at St. Francis Memorial Hospital on February 26, 2017. Predeceased by his wife of 20 years, Marguerite Strack (Kenopic) and step son Larry Strack; brothers Alfonse (Barb), Edmond (Julie), Lorne, Clemence (Theresa), Tony (Theresa), and Archie; sisters Elenor (Marvin), Rita (Jim), Monica, and Helen (Alfie). He is survived by his sister Theresa (Raymond); sister’s in-law Martha Yashinskie, Wella Rudkowski; brothers in- law Lornie Wienecke, Isadore Yantha, and his step children John Strack (Lisa), and Karen; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A wake will be held at the Heubner Funeral Home Wednesday, March 1st 2-4pm, 7-9pm and the funeral service will be held at St. Hedwigs Parish Thursday, March 2nd 10:30am.
