It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our father, grandfather & great grandfather Nicholas Lepinski. He passed away peacefully in Palliative Care at Grand River – Freeport Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario on Wednesday September 13, 2017 just days after celebrating his 88th birthday. Predeceased by his beloved wife Marion ( née Stubbs ), beloved daughter Susan (Allan) Sabatine, and his parents John and Helen Lepinski. He will be forever loved and missed by his children Deborah (Randy), Virgil (Kathy), Darla (Domenic), Glenda (Bruce), Nancy (Don), Louise (Paul), and Heddy. Cherished grandfather of seventeen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Nicholas grew up in the town of Barry's Bay, Ontario in the Ottawa Valley. His career as a building contractor involved the construction of many homes and cottages in the area.
His love of politics led him to serve as Reeve of Radcliffe Township as well as Warden of Renfrew County in 1978. Nick loved his family, hunting, fishing and spending time with Marion and friends in Bonita Springs, Florida when on winter holidays.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Columbia Forest in Waterloo for giving him such loving care for the past 3 years. Our thanks go out to the staff at Palliative Care Grand River Freeport Hospital. We are truly grateful for the level of care you were able to administer to our father. Thanks again to both Columbia Forest and Grand River Hospital. You are truly doing God's work. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Nick can be made to diabetes foundation.
