HARDING, NORMAN WILLIAM
1931-2017
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by friends and family at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in Barry's Bay in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Mary Catherine. Loving Father of Todd (Joyce) and Donna Gioia (Rob). Grandfather to Jessica Maroti (Steve Jones) and Austin. Predeceased by his brother Graham as well as his parents Doris and Albert. Fondly missed by his canine companion Buddy.
The last 3 years he fought a good fight with the end in mind of "going home". Although his body had weakened, his mind and spirit were strong. He drew strength from his family and God and faced each day with a smile and his own off brand of humour. He will be missed by so many.
Thank you to all the doctors and nurses at St. Francis Memorial Hospital, the doctors and specialists in Pembroke and Ottawa and to all the volunteers who worked so hard to help. Thank you for all the payers and thoughts and to those who took time out of their schedules to visit Dad.
Friends and family may attend a visitation at Heubner Funeral Home in Barry's Bay on Thursday May 25 from 6pm to 9pm with a funeral service on Friday May 26th at 11am at Church of the Epiphany in Barry's Bay.
